A confession. I've never done one of these before. Not publicly anyway. Why? 'Cause I like to look perfect.
"I am the author who has it all figured out. I work my magic behind the scenes and voila! I produce an incredible story that you enjoy forevermore. You're welcome!" (Glamorous smile) But the reality is, that's not me. I'm more like, "I've got it all figured out. See? I... Oh, oops, don't notice that. Pretend you didn't see it. Take no notice of the girl behind the laptop." (Bet you can't tell where that's modified from!)

Some hours later, at the deepness of the night, the other human stirred and groaned.
“Hello,” said Imhalla. After a brief pause, the other man asked, “Who are you?” His Imhallan was thick with a Bathatt accent and with the effect of spider-anesthetic. “I’m…well… I’m Imhalla.” Why hide the fact? He was dead anyway. I said I would periodically review books of note within the speculative fiction category, so here's the latest: my Goodreads review on Writers of the Future, Volume 29. Since it's an anthology, I did mini-reviews on each of the following stories:
If you've followed me for a while, you know that I post Mondays and Thursdays. However, after much thought, I have decided to post only once a week, on Fridays. I plan to call them Fiction Fridays, since they will be devoted entirely to stories from my Five-Minute Fiction series or episodes from my longer works. Sounds fun, right? It should be!
Although I plan to post regularly on Fridays, I expect that, sometimes, I may post additionally throughout the week. If I post a book review to GoodReads; if I find a great new resource for free, discounted, or just plain good quality fiction; or if I just have to share some interesting thoughts relating to fiction or to my writing journey, I'll share about it in a Bonus Post. If you're on my e-mail list, you'll get notification of all new posts, delivered straight to your inbox. If you're not on the list, consider joining. It's free, I won't spam you or ask you for money, you'll never miss a post, and you can opt out at any time. You can also keep up with what's going on by following me on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, and Goodreads. I'm very excited about connecting with you through the fascinating world of fiction! I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing and sharing them. As always, I welcome your input, questions, and thoughts! |
