The choice has been made, but there is more to the story. In this episode, the words of the old song return with new meaning and the Whispers launch their most vicious attack yet, as the companions risk everything to heal Azinae.
(Click here to read previous episodes) Episodes ago, we asked the question: What was the other half of the conversation with the Half-Tree? In this episode, we learn the full message of Rahayar, and the companions have to make the biggest decision yet, a decision that will impact the future of Azinae--and their own futures.
(Click here to read previous episodes) This has been promised since the early episodes, since one of the first votes, and now it is here--Connie arrives at the Time Pool. But what awaits him there, and what happens when he reverses time and begins to rewrite Azinaean history? Find out in this episode!
(Click here to read the last episode) Last week you answered the question: Should Connie attempt to save a life, knowing that, in the attempt, he might destroy it? This week, Connie faces another difficult decision: What is he willing to risk in order to discover the answers that could not only save him, but all of Azinae?
(Click here to read the last episode) Another unanimous vote! Everyone is in favor of Connie striking out on his own. Blessed--and cursed--with the inability to be harmed, Connie now faces his first major decisions in his Azinaean form. Will his own darkness swallow him?
(Click here to read the last episode) This episode is super special. Why? Because we finally discover Connie's Azinaean form. I was going to save it for the next episode, but it fit so well with this episode's revelations that it seemed pointless to delay it any longer. Let me know what you think!
(Click here to read the last episode) This week, I did something different. You may have noticed that there was a tie in the responses: half of you wanted the companions to take the otter way, the other half wanted them to take the marsh way. So I fell back on my father's old way of settling ties. My father often quotes Proverbs 18:18: The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty. So I flipped a coin. Heads, otters. Tails, marsh. The result?
This episode was a lot of fun to write because, for the first time, I got to showcase the incredible superhuman abilities of fully-changed Azinaeans. Plus, we are just a few episodes away from discovering what Connie's Azinaean form is...and there are some important clues in this episode.
When Connie heard a mysterious voice, offering him a risky endeavor in exchange for information which could be vital, most of you chose that he should accept the voice's challenge. Some were concerned that the voice might be one of the deceptive Whispers... which has been giving me ideas. This episode has a few surprises, but the greater ones are still to come...
