I made the decision a few years ago to learn how to design my own book covers. I think we can all agree that, although my intentions were ambitious, the covers shown to the left are not quite as eye-catching as one would expect from fantasy and science fiction. Yeah, I had a lot to learn, but, to me, a challenge is something to be accepted with  a chortle.

Fortunately, practice makes improvement. (I don't believe in perfection. At least, not on this side of Heaven.) So here's the improvement:
